AS AN A.A. GROUP OR MEMBER...YOU CAN GET INVOLVED WITH CENTRAL OFFICE:

Scroll down through the entire page to see all the service opportunities or go to an item listed in the table below by clicking on it. If you are interested in volunteering for service work, click here on Pass It On and complete the form. The Pass It On form will provide you with directions on how to mail, fax or send the form to us electronically.  We hope you derive at least as much pleasure and benefit as we do from helping another alcoholic.

MEMBERSHIP:

A group begins participating in Central Office simply by listing itself in the meeting directory-this lets newcomers and other A.A. members know you're out there and ready to be of service!

PHONE SHIFTS:

A.A. members can volunteer to answer the phones at the Central Office. The member must have at least one year of sobriety, active in the Fellowship, and a sponsor they use.

TWELFTH STEP OPPORTUNITIES:

A.A. members can sign up on a number of service lists: to take and if necessary accept the twelfth step calls, to speak at meetings and to chair meetings.

  • Making Phone Calls

  • Giving Rides To Detox

  • Being A Contact

  • Giving A Newcomers Rides To Meetings

  • Helping Deaf or Hard of Hearing Alcoholics

  • Giving Rides To Out-of-town A.A. Members

  • Working With Handicapped & Homebound

VOLUNTEERING AT THE CENTRAL OFFICE:

A.A. members can volunteer their time helping out at the office; taking inventory, stocking, assembling newsletters and all the other tasks it takes to make our Central Office tick.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT:

Central Office is supported by contributions from groups in this area and by the sale of literature. A.A. groups’ and members' contributions keep Central Office self-supporting!

INTERGROUP REPRESENTATIVE'S MEETINGS:

A.A. groups can become involved in Central Office through their Intergroup Representative. (For further information ask to see the pamphlet on Intergroup Representatives.)
