SERVICES PROVIDED BY CENTRAL OFFICE

A.A. BOOKS, PAMPHLETS, AND VIDEO TAPES:

 

Intergroup has for sale a complete selection of all literature published by Alcoholics Anonymous (through A.A. World Services., Inc. and the Grapevine, Inc.), including audio and video taped material. Most literature published by A.A.W.S., Inc. (with the exception of some service pieces) is General Service Conference-Approved, indicating that the item has gone through a review process, which insures that it reflects, in a general way, the experience and beliefs of the A.A. Fellowship as a whole.

 

A.A. TWELFTH STEP VOLUNTEERS:

 

Many A.A. members in the Central Ohio Area are willing to help any alcoholic in need. When an alcoholic calls Central Office and asks for an A.A. member to talk to, Central Office has a list of these willing individuals and can arrange a call.

Contacts:  

Central Office provides Contacts for those individuals undergoing a treatment plan. Upon their release from the treatment program the Contact will help them become oriented to the A.A. Fellowship.  

A.A. SPEAKERS:

Central office maintains a list of A.A. members willing to share their experience, strength and hope at meetings. Any group can call and Central Office will make the arrangement for a speaker for their meeting or special events.  

FIFTH STEP REFERRALS:

Central Office has a list of people--pastors, priests, and others-who are willing to hear fifth steps.  

DIRECTORIES:

Central Office maintains, updates, publishes and sells the Central Ohio Group Fellowship-Alcoholics Anonymous Directory, of all known A.A. meetings and times and days they meet, in the Central Ohio and Southeastern area. National and international. Directories compiled and published by Alcoholics Anonymous are also available for sale, as well as other local directories compiled by other sources.

MONTHLY NEWSLETTER:

Central Office publishes a monthly newsletter, Conscious Contact, sent to all registered groups and to individual who subscribe ($7.00 a year). The newsletter contains information about the Central Office, Central Ohio Group Fellowship Advisory Board, Area 53, local activities, speaker meetings, and upcoming A.A. recovery related events.  

INFORMATION AND REFERRALS:

Central office has information and flyers available on many A.A. related activities and special events--roundups, conventions, Central Ohio Group Fellowship Advisory Board meetings, Intergroup Representatives meetings, General Service assemblies and workshops.

PUBLIC INFORMATION:

Central Office answers inquiries about Alcoholics Anonymous from outside agencies, the general public, schools, industries, and puts people in contact with the Central Ohio Group Fellowship's Public Information Committee to handle their requests or questions.
